Sprig Seminar- eTOURISM and TECHNOLOGY in HLST

The topic in 2009 was eTourism and and speakers included : the eTourism 'guru' Professor Dimitrios Buhalis who gave an update on all things 'e' and 'tourism'! Gareth Smith of Podium: talked about The Further and Higher Education Unit for the 2012 Games! A roundtable discussion was led by Fiona Murray, University College Birmingham, and focused on the uptake and use by students of new technologies. Followed lunch, private tours will be conducted of the fantastic Gastronomy Collection at Westminster Kingsway.

A small group of Sprig members met at Glasgow Caledonian University for the Sprig Seminar and AGM. The following speakers gave informative presentations about latest developments in their specialist areas.

The day finished with a tour of the Saltaire Centre, Glasgow Caledonian University Library and we all came away with lots of ideas!
