What's cooking? Making the Internet more hospitable - Birmingham College
of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies (BCFTCS).
This seminar included presentations from; Higher Education Academy Network
for Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism, Intute for Hospitality and
Catering and also the Hotel, Catering and International Management Association
(HCIMA)
2006
All Change: Sprig update on resources for Hospitality, Leisure, Sport
and Tourism.
The seminar contained presentations by Sheffield Hallam University on
the student portal and blackboard. An update was given on ALTIS and the
HEA. EBSCO also gave a presentation on their HLST
resources, particularly concentrating on SportDiscus.
In the afternoon there was a visit to the English
Institute of Sport.
2005
SPRIG E-Learning Workshop
An E-Learning Workshop was held at the University
of Gloucestershire in March 2005 this year.
Libby Symonds from University College Worcester,
spoke about the role of the learning technologist in the implementation
of WebCT at Worcester.
Martin Scarrotts paper about the role of the library staff in supporting
e-learning is printed in this issue of the Bulletin 41.
The final presentation on the use of IT to support
teaching and learning was by John Beech from the University of Coventry.
