“I am a Content Coordinator for Intute (covering Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism). My previous role was Resource Guide Adviser for Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism. Before joining Altis I was the Heritage Database Project Officer for Coventry City Council; setting up a cross-domain database for their Library, Museum and Archive catalogues. Outside the office, I enjoy cycling, reading, music, vegetarian cookery and real ale.”

I work at the University of Worcester as Subject Liaison Librarian for the School of Sport and Exercise Science. I am interested in football research and my MSc dissertation was "A study of the content of football matchday programmes from 1980 to 2002". I am an Aston Villa season ticket holder and I also love bridge and tennis. |

Dr John Beech is the Head of the Department of Strategy and Applied Management at Coventry University. His previous post was as Head of Leisure, Sport and Tourism Management. John has co-edited The Business of Sport Management and The Business of Tourism Management with Simon Chadwick and publishes supporting news blogs (The BOSM Blog and The BOTM Blog) for free student use. He also publishes information gateways for leisure, sport and travel & tourism. John has published his research widely.

As Assistant Director, I am responsible for leading
the network's academic development work. Prior to taking on this role,
I was Undergraduate Programme Director within the School. I joined
the School in 1991 following extensive management experience in the
hospitality industry. I have successfully completed an MPhil which
investigated the use of accounting information in marketing decisions,
achieved membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and I
have also managed a British Council funded project to develop tourism
in Bulgaria. |

I have been in my current role as Information Manager
at Sport England since 2003, and my role is to communicate information
on key developments in sport to all our key partners in the region,
as well as getting over the message to the general public that sport
can benefit everyone's health. My previous roles in Sport England
include Lottery Officer and Assistant Business Manager and I have
been with the organisation since 1992. I have a keen interest in all
sports with cricket being one of my passions. |
