SPRIGProfessional Development Award
2004 AwardThe 2004 SPRIG Professional Development Award has been given to Chris Hudson of Sheffield Hallam University and Neil Beasley of Sport England. The award will help fund a fact finding visit to Canada. The purpose of the trip is to learn about the successful strategies deployed
regarding sport and recreation information management and provision. They
will visit government departments, a large municipal authority, a university
and various other organisations. The visit is very timely in the context
of the development and implementation of current UK policy for sport and
physical activity.
